Activity Description

The objective of the study is to generate and disseminate knowledge on the relationship between accountability and quality of health service delivery to inform the Government of Jordan on potential policy options to further strengthen service delivery in the health sector. Specifically, the study aims to examine the association between accountability mechanisms used at the facility-level, particularly as they relate to monitoring practices and incentives, and quality of primary health care service delivery as measured by the level of provider effort. The study also attempts to control for a range of confounders at the field directorate, facility, provider, catchment area, and beneficiary levels.
