Activity Description

The Rwanda Human Resources for Health Program is a consortium of over 20 US institutions that send physicians, nurses, midwives, health managers and dentists to Rwanda to build up the local health care education sector. US faculty “twin” with local counterparts to build up educational capacity. In addition to education, faculty members engage in clinical care, administration, research and health systems strengthening. The program is designed to increase local capacity, with the intention that locally trained staff will be able to sustain the system at the conclusion of the program.
