Activity Description

During the rotation, you will learn how to manage complex health conditions with limited resources. And obtain firsthand information on culture and lifestyle of the refugee group. There are several locations for placement.

Nepal - You will learn about the pre-departure health screening procedure with Bhutanese Refugees with International Organization for Migration (IOM). It is an opportunity to learn about tropical diseases such as Tuberculosis, Malaria, Meningitis, Encephalitis, Parasite infestations, and Diarrheal diseases, and obstetric and surgical emergencies while working in Lifeline Hospital in Damak, Nepal.

Uganda - During the rotation, you will learn how to manage complex health conditions with limited resources. You will learn about the pre-departure health screening procedure with Congolese Refugees with International Organization for Migration (IOM).
