CARE for Haiti “Clinics And Relief Efforts for Haiti” is a student lead organization started by the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Our goal is to provide health care for the community of Chabin, Haiti by facilitating an annual clinic that serves the local people. Our interprofessional team consists of pharmacy students, pharmacists, nurses, an American physician, Haitian physicians, and interpreters. Each year our focus is to treat the acute conditions of the community while provide immunizations at the local school. This year our goal is to immunize at least 100 patients and treat 400 patients that have a variety of acute conditions. Chronic conditions will be evaluated, and referrals and education will be provided to these patients.
